People in the Pyramid group have been asked to write short stories
[I accidently made 2, I lost my old one and found it again.]
The first story is by Grace 'The Author'.
THE REPEAT OFFENDER. [Gasp]
He sits at the back of the classroom. No one wants to talk to him or hang out with him.If you do, you are not cool. The girl sitting beside him can hear him grumbling and mumbling as he works on his algebra. He can't understand why he has to learn about probability or fractions - like they are going to help him.
He makes sure Ms. Hawkins isn't looking and pulls out his calculator. He casts a mean glance at the teacher's pet sitting two rows away. She hates him and he hates her. She starts to raise her hanad to tell on him.
He sits up straight and makes a fist. He points it at her. Her hand slowly goes down. He snickers - he wins today against the teacher's pet. He is dreaming about snowball fights after school. Only 15 more minutes to go!
Won't he ever get out of this class? It feels like he has been there for years. The hand of the clock creeps by and he is almost free. Ms. Hawkins tells him to sit down. He is worried now. What if he can't leave? What if he has detention or has to do more homework?
More important, who will pick up his grand-daughter from Mrs. Braithwaite's class? He strokes his long white beard as he worries. Maybe this year he will finally graduate.
